A silent auction held at Nunney International Horse Trials has raised more than £5k for charity.
Organised by the Selwood Rotary Group, the aim was to raise £2k, but the initial target was more than doubled thanks to the generosity of those attending the event.
Mike Howells said: “It was a greater success than any of us dared to wish for ahead of the event. The location of our marquee was the best and hopefully took nothing away from the main trade area. Visitors to our marquee were steady in numbers and the quality was evidenced in the final count, which was over £5k.”
Team Rubicon and YMCA will benefit from the proceeds, with some going to other Rotary sponsored charities.
